Once the head and body were complete, each was sprayed with grey primer (as in the top left photo), and sanded, re-sprayed and sanded again as
required to build up the best possible surface finish. The body was then detailed with back-panel "switches", a tail (made from a variety of sizes of aluminum tube), a
front handle (just below the neck), lettering on the lovely removable side panel, and a ring of plastic around the neck (all as shown in the top right and bottom left
pictures). Just for fun(!) a radio controlled motor unit was then constructed from various bits and pieces (notably including a model tank) to be fitted into the base of the final model,
and as shown in the bottom right photo.
