The above image resulted from various ponderings of how the common science fiction notion of a human-machine hybrid or "cyborg" could be made more interesting than some daleks. The answer was the construction of the "Fembot" in this image in Caligari trueSpace. The above composite was first rendered at 2000x1500 pixels in two (foreground and background) passes to allow the addition of the explosion layers in PhotoShop. Probably my favourite element is the drain cover (lower left in the shadows), whose geometry and texture is a fairly exact replica of such a cover in the road outside my flat. Who knows what my neighbours thought as I took the measurements and texturemap photo! |
